A notice is a concise piece of written communication typically crafted in a formal style. Its purpose is to inform and disseminate information regarding events, occasions, celebrations, lost and found items, and other pertinent matters. Notices are widely utilized by individuals and organizations alike as they provide a quick and efficient means of conveying important information to a large audience. Whether posted on a bulletin board, sent through email, or distributed through other channels, notices serve as effective tools in facilitating communication and keeping people informed.

How to write an effective Notice:

1. Name of the Organization, Institution or Office, issuing it should be mentioned at the top. 

2. The word ‘NOTICE’ in the next line.

3. Date of Issuing the notice to be placed at the left, in the third line.

4. A suitable description, caption or heading after the date in the next line. 

5. Notice can use capital letters in details such as name of organizations, an important detail in the message itself.

6. Details of Schedule (Date, Time, Venue, programme purpose/who is to attend etc.)

7. Signature, name and designation of the person issuing the notice.

8. Tone: Maintain a formal tone and avoid using any language that may be interpreted as offensive or discriminatory.

9. Usually future time references predominate over other tense forms.

10. Draw the box and ensure the word limit (50 words).
